Can't Wait to Move Out

When my boyfriend and I were apartment hunting back in the Spring of 07, this seemed like the best place. The staff was nice, the grounds looked clean, there were hardly any people outside, we knew that we had found a winner. Well, we were WRONG!!!!
-The day after we moved in, I went to ask the office manager something, and she didn't remember who I was and she was short with me. She was the total opposite of the person I had talked to when she was getting us to sign the lease.
-Our first night sleeping there was horrible. We could hear noise coming from the apartment below us, to the left and right of us. And on top of that, the people across the way were blasting their music as well.
-There are kids everywhere, don't get me wrong, I love kids but when they leave their toys on your front steps, knock on your door and run away and start screaming at the top of their lungs right outside of your window, thats when you start to dislike kids.
-I had to rent a parking spot for an extra $10 because there are NO parking spots left if you come home late...well, there are some spots but you have to park clear on the other side of the complex. And having that spot doesn't even guarantee me some where to park, I've come home to someone parked in my spot twice already.
-And I'm not sure what apartment it comes from but every night when I come home from work I can smell weed.
-In the past few months there have been a few strong winds and heavy rains, well, parts of the building have flown off as a result of that. Thank god no one was standing there when a piece of the siding flew off.
-I honestly do not feel safe at this apartment complex, they make you sign all sorts of agreements when you move in that states you won't do drugs, put furniture, bikes, cleaning supplies on your patio, park in other people's spots, but guess what' you see this everywhere you look! They really need to force everyone to follow these rules. They really had me fooled when I signed the lease, I signed a 14 month lease because Cornerstone seemed so nice, but I was way wrong. I'm moving out in a few months and trust me, I can NOT WAIT!!!! Until then I have to listen to the sweet sounds of my neighbors yelling at their kids through the walls.

My family and I lived in the same apartments when it was known as Newport Landing and it still sounds like the same hell hole. I'm sorry you have to go thru all of that...while we were there, someone had rear ended our car. My husband found our bump lying in the parking lot...JUST LYING THERE! We don't know who the coward was because the dumb ass never came forward. We gun fire, at times, and the police and police helicopter were at the complex every week. This was about 7 to 8 years ago. Nothings changed.
