Poorly Managed Property

Living at this apartment community has been my worst apartment living experience. I lived here for almost 2 years, the management changed after I was there for 6 months. I had no issues with the original management. The problems began after Scotia Group took over management.
The first issue had to do with a dog using the bathroom on my doorstep on the 2nd floor. After repeated complaints to management nothing was done for 3 months. all the while I had to clean dog crap off my doorstep at least 3 times a week. the management said they couldn't do anything about it. the issue was resolved only after the neighbor finally moved out.
The next isuue involved my lease needing to be rewritten 3 times after I renewed because the lease had been written up incorectly.
The parking situation here is ridiculous, almost no guest parking. residents are asked to tell guests to park outside of the property. The gated community aspect of this place is a joke as well, the gates are broken on a normal basis, hows that for security.
The final isuue is the so called security "courtesy patrol." On many weekends parties rage until 3 0r 4 in the morning without any response from the "courtesy patrol." all the while neighbors are talking outside your window and racing cars and motorcycles up and down the driveway.

Can't agree more. I really don't like the new management group, esp Jenniffer and Ronda. They are so rude and they never do things to help you out. Plus, the laudry room is always dirty like hell. Anyway, thank God I'm leaving this apartment soon.

To defend the management and Scotia Group, I had a similar problem with a dog barking all of the time. Both Jennifer and Rhonda tried their hardest to get to the bottom of it. My feelings on the laundry room is, why dont you stop and pick up after yourself, when has it been their job to clean up after you. I love living at Deerfield Village. Jennifer and Rhonda work very hard.

This review is accurate. I have lived here 2 years, originally moving in because of the level of service I received. That disappeared when the new owners bought the property. Lights in the parking lot, around the walkways and over balconies are often out. The raging parties are horrifically loud and never curtailed. Maintenance and office staff are incompetent. Guest parking is non-existent; guests must park in this dodgy gravel lot facing Ft. Lowell. We've had postings warning of "peeping toms" twice throughout the past year. Courtesy patrol posts monthly newsletters on doors at night, which means living alone, I hear someone unexpectedly at my door at a late hour and feel even less safe. Hate it here now. Am moving ASAP.
