My car has been broken into. My roommates car has been broken into. My friend came over to visit for less than 3 hours and his car was broken into. The neighbors cars were broken into. A person in the complex had their laundry stolen right out of the washer! What does management do' Nothing. No security cameras, no security guard (an "on call" guard, which does absolutely no good), no responsibility taken whatsoever. If you want to feel insecure parking your car outside your own home every night, and be unable to sleep because you here car alarms going off at 3 AM and you want to check if that's your car being broken into -- live here. Otherwise, find somewhere else.

What will a security guard or cameras do? Not a thing! Take some responsibility, put things out of sight so that you do not "invite" someone to break in, and, for goodness sake, GET AN ALARM FOR YOUR CARS, PEOPLE!

you are absolutely correct. what would cameras do besides provide hard evidence of who was breaking in? and yes now that you mention it i do feel that i should have to hide all my belongings in my car every time i park it. this is an excellent suggestion considering that my car was broken into with no valuables visible from the outside. but all in all, i think you are right: i really SHOULD throw down a few hundred dollars to get an alarm for my car, so that i can continue to live in the dump called Deer Field. so thank you for this great advice!! judging from these stupid remarks, i am guessing you must work there or something, and that you couldnt possibly believe what you just said.
