Not a bad place. Used to be better.

I've been here for over 5 years. For the most part parking is gated. Gates seem to be opened from sunrise to sunset. When the gates are closed you use a pin code or card to enter and there's a sensor that triggers the gate to open when you drive up to the exit to leave. I see alot of confused people trying to get out.
Noise is not too bad. About a dozen times I've been trying to sleep while someone screems bloody murder in the courtyard. Usually someone drunk or emotionally distressed. That's only about a dozen times in the 5 years I've been here mind you.
The grounds are very nice. Although the newer management doesn't seem to do as much leaf pickup as the old. Lots of trees, and palms. Usually lush green grass (I've seen it go brown at times). The pool and hot tub are very clean and well maintained. The laundry facility and some of the exterior gates have locks that every resident has a common key to open. These locks are always broken so all anyone has to do is push the door opened. 1.00 for a wash and .75 for a dry.
The appartments seem fairly safe. I've had my plants stolen from the patio twice. Other than that I've had no break-ins. There are alarm systems on all the units. They tend to automatically go off when we have power outtages and maintenance has to go around the complex to reset them(when nobody is home to do it themselves). We always have power outtages during monsoons. I've seen a few cars with broken out windows in the parking lots from time to time. I've also heard neighbors complain about vehicle break ins but have not had one myself.
The appartments seem to be pretty well insulated. Almost too well. I almost never have to heat during the winter. These places trap heat like crazy. During the summer it's almost impossible to keep the electric bill down. You have to constantly run the AC. During the winter my AC bill is under 50 bucks.
Maintenance is pretty good here. Let them know you have an issue and they are usually on top of it within 24 hrs.
The personality of the staff seems to have gone down hill since I first lived here. Their customer service comes grudgingly. The old management would go out of their way to help you with things but these newer folks seem put out at best.
Over all I'd say it's a decent place to live for a 1 bedroom around 500 bucks.
