I agree with the negative reviews. I currently live here at Desert Tree and just gave my notice to move on the 1ST. Our apartment has actual holes in the concrete under the rugs (several holes) in the living room, bathroom area and bedroom. We are missing a window on the patio door, I have a hole in the bathroom area in my ceiling that drips whenever I turn my air on anything more than low. The main AC unit that runs all the apartments hasn't been working. It seems our AC is off more than on. When it is on the individual fan/blower in the apartment isn't working to the AC is barely blowing out.
As far as the pool, the City was called anonymously and the apartment managers/owner had to drain the whole dam pool, scrub it and refill it because it was pure green and then was slimy on top of that. Laundry room is still dirty as hell.
The drama, drugs and police around here are almost an every night affair. Just 2 weeks ago we had about 6 patrol cars (even the helicopter was here for a brief moment) because of fighting going on at an apartment with another group of people. Once this ended that apartment then starting going at it with another apartment and they all came back not even an hour later. The cops like i said are a regular occurance here at Desert Tree.
Many residents were just served yesterday 8/19/08 with court papers for eviction. Many residents are breaking leases or just moving as of the 1ST because our apartments are not being fixed. I talked to someone with the City and they said the city is coming into Desert Tree in the beginning of September to inspect each individual unit to see what is wrong and if it's even livable if not the people will have to move and until the owner fixes it, the apartment won't be rented. That doesn't sound very nice.
I understand the owner of Desert Tree has another complex here in Tucson that 1/2 of it is sitting empty because the City stepped in.
The grounds here are dirty, the dog run has weeds almost as tall as I am.
I mean it's your choice if you care to move in here, but i would tell you for your sanity and families it's not worth it.

All I have to say is that this review is a bunch of crap! I do no live there (and never will), but I do have a friend that does. And as far as I am concerned this place is the biggest dump I have ever seen, the conditions there are unexcuseable. The list of things that are wrong with this place is to long to even begin to listing. The Manager should be thrown in jail for the things that she has done, and for how much she is ripping off the residents and the people who own it. I think that this person is a fool and or demented! Especially, thinking that her child and her for that matter will be safe. Well, I guess if the hazarous toxic mold doesn't get you the crime will!
Good luck and wake up!
