I am currently a resident here at desert tree for the second time, bad idea. 1st time mgmt. was great, but the owner of the complex just sucked, was very unwilling to pay a penny for anything to be done in the complex. 1st time I moved into the complex, the apt we lived in had mold, had holes in the sub floor,a studio size fridge in a 2 bdr apartment, did not have a properly working stove. We moved into another unit in the complex cause of the issues and later found out that that unit as well as two other units surrounding it had toxic mold in them. In this unit there was no dishwasher, no properly working stove, still only had a studio size fridge in a 2 bdrm apartment, never got a dishwasher. Maintainence never had money from the owner to fix what was wrong , so they robbed peter to pay paul, or just rigged everything and hoped that it didn't get worse. We left the complex, cause the toxic air in the unit we were in mad my child asthmatic.

We decided to give the complex another shot, bad idea. It looked like and sounded like the owner had turned over a new leaf and had finally started working on fixing things, the complex was running just like most great complexes do with the rule of 24 hr turn around time on maintenance requests, and if appliances run a mucc, you can get new ones, or they get fix immediately. No more robbing peter to pay paul or rigging things and hoping they hopefully work. This coming from new tenants and family living in the complex. We were ready to move in and excited we were getting new carpet, and new appliances, the works, everything was working out great.

Till we were ready to move in and found out that the appliances were not coming, cause the owner yet again was not paying bills. So our appliances were and still are sitting in a warehouse. Certain things in our apartment were not fixed and are stll not fixed, we had brand new carpet, our in certain area of our apt got flooded, and we did a maintenance request to have it fixed and find out where the water came from, well we found out where the water came from. But they never picked up the water, they let the water sit in a brand new carpet cause it was quitting time and it wasn't that important so it could wait till tomorrow. you its 8/20/08 and that problem has yet to be fixed. I don't have specific amenities that were promised and are part of our countract, there are things wrong with my carpet and they have yet to fix them, other than the water damage and they have yet to be fixed. Because they did not suck up the water out of my carpet, my carpet is now stained, u can see white stains on carpet from where water was.

The air works when it wants to . Yet the new mgmnt deems it necessary to blame everyone or anything they can for why the air does not work instead of taking responsibility for it and admitting that its old and having it fixed. I have been putting in maintenance requests for awhile now and not getting things fixed, SHAME ON YOU DESERT TREE and YOUR OWNER for making residents suffer. THis complex and owner would rather put everyone on the street by giving notices of eviction, vs fixing what is wrong, and making their tenants happy

It has been a night mare living here for the second time and with having two kids, this is not the complex. All of the fights, the drugs, the cops being here every other night, people threatening people with weapons, haters that just don't like people cause of their history. This is the worst complex that I have ever lived in this is not even a Mickey Mouse ran apartment complex, its not ran period. I would not recommend this complex to anyone if you think the rent is great its not, especially when nothing really gets fixed and landscaping is terrible, its awful the city should shut her down or some how make the owner get this property back on track. DONT THINK ABOUT MOVING TO DESERT TREE GO ANYWHERE BUT HERE!!!!!!!!!
