Was nice when we moved in, now it's the dumps

We have lived here for about 8 months and have had a great experience. We have had two previous bad experiences with apartment complexes here in Tucson, so it was nice breath of fresh air to move here. The people in the office are friendly and very helpful. When I was pregnant, they even offered to help me carry a package I received in the mail to my apartment. The maintenance people are very friendly as well, and in my experience, have been very quick to respond. One day during a rain storm, our roof began to leak, and the maintenance man was on the roof in 15 minutes, in the pouring rain. The office management does not nit-pick about silly things, which is nice. The grounds are always clean and they are very quick to send out notes when someone doesn't clean up after their dog. Parking can be difficult sometimes if you don't get home early enough and our covered parking spot is pretty far away from our apartment. Also, there are people who live here who drive big construction/company vehicles that can take up the whole space and then some because they are so wide with big utility holders on the side (not sure about the technical terms). Most people who drive those trucks park in the front of the complex but a few do park inside. There have been times when they have parked next to me when I haven't been able to get in my car very easily because they are so close I couldn't get the door open very far. I have also had problems getting my son's car seat in. We do plan on moving at the end of our lease for the simple fact that a 900 sq. ft. apartment is way too small for two adults, a crawling baby and two dogs. We would certainly recommend this complex to anyone. However, towards the end, the experience went down hill. My mother-in-law sent us a package right when we were moving out. She didn't realize the moving date. The package arrived the day after we moved out. The people at FedEx said the package was placed over the balcony. I call several times to see if someone would go check and every time they told me they wouldn't because FedEx NEVER places packages over the balcony (even though they did it several times while we were living there). I finally had to drive the 45 minutes from my new home to look at the balcony to see if it was there. It wasn't. When we contacted FedEx they assured us that the delivery was made over the balcony. FedEx was kind enough to send it again though, no charge. However, they sent it to the apartment again on accident. They told us they put it over the balcony and I called the office and they told me it was NOT there. FedEx sent the package again to the right house, no charge. I'm not saying the office people took the package but it was sent twice and they were the only one's with access to the apartment. We no longer had the key. Needless to say, the new manager was Very rude to us on the phone. No longer would recommend this place to anyone. Too shady.
