Could be worse, but not by much.

I would not recommend that ANYONE sign a lease here.

To begin with the managment is completely incompetent and the staff that is hired to work there are rude.

I have walked into the office and been completely ignored while they talk to each other.

They also have no idea what they are doing most of the time and really don't take the time to learn.

Maintenence is quick with the work orders, but they usually fix the wrong thing or don't fix it at all.

My shower still has no hot water or water pressure even though they supposedly "fixed" it.

When I went to sublease my apartment for the summer they informed me that they now only "re-let", meaning I have to pay $200 to technically break my lease and the girl moving in has to pay another $250 security deposit to live here for 2 and a half months.

The noise alone makes it so that I can't keep my window open during daylight hours.

If the window is open I can't even hear my TV when it is turned all the way up.

The train is also really close but you do learn to tune it out after a month or so.

The neighbors are terrible and I am constantly having to ask the people below me to turn down there bass.

When I told the manager of the problem she laughed and just told me I have "lively" neighbors.

I have yet to move out but I'm not expecting my $100 back (the security deposit is $250 but they claim $150 is a non-refundable application fee).

They say they include a $120 allowance for electricity a month, but if you go under that amount you don't get credited for the months you go over.

The only plus is the layout of the apartment and how close it is to campus.

I ride my bike to school and it only takes two minutes and its nice having my own bathroom.

However don't expect the furniture they show you in the office, as our couches are about 8 years old and a hideous pattern.

Speaking of bikes, my seat, and then the whole bike was stolen and my roomates got stolen twice.
Speaking of crimes, two friends who live here had their cars broken into.

Also, one of them was robbed at gunpoint about 10 feet from his front door.
