Great Complex, Great Management

Of the many places I've had the opportunity to live in Tucson over the last 7 years, this has been by far the best. I would stay here in a heartbeat if I didn't have to move out of town. And if I ever get the chance to move back to town, I would rent a unit here without second thought.

Location: It is great. Walking distance from many things--across the street from a grocery store, and the central location means driving almost anywhere is easy. You are on two very good bus routes (Route 15 and Route 17) and easy walking distance to several others. The Rillito wash (with an excellent bike path) is mere minutes north.

Rent: *extremely* reasonable. I think that this is the best buy in Tucson. Keep in mind that utilities are included, and the units all have dishwasher, garbage disposal, and are in good shape.

Parking: Parking is easy, and never a problem to find. They are currently installing a gate so it will be even more secure than it was in the past (I never had a problem). Covered parking is available for a reasonable fee.

Noise: I lived in a unit facing the parking lot and never had a problem with excess noise. If car noise bothers you, a unit in the middle of the complex (there are many) would eliminate this... but I never heard anything. The units are soundly constructed, and I rarely if ever heard anything from my neighbors.

Grounds: They are extremely well maintained. The layout of the complex is very pleasant, and the facilities are nice and available to use.

Safety: I never felt unsafe. This part of Tucson is definitely above average for being within city limits. I had no problem leaving my unit alone in the middle of the night to walk to the laundry room or mailboxes. There was a courtesy patrol at night.

Maintenence: Maintenance staff was friendly, professional and reliable. I occasionally had a problem with my dishwasher leaking, and everytime I put in a maintence request, they would be by to fix the problem if not the same day, no later than the next day.

The office staff was also very nice--I never had any unpleasant or unprofessional encounters with them.

Overall: I have never felt compelled to write a glowing review of an apartment complex before, however Fox Point has been an extremely pleasant surprise.
If you're looking for a place to live inside Tucson, definitely check it out.
