It looks like a good deal when you move in, but from there they raise the rent a lot each year that you stay, plus nickel and dime you to death -- fees for covered parking (you have to fight for free spaces or pay up - abt 1/2 the originally free spaces were converted), monthly fee for having a pet PLUS a big pet deposit, laundry room just raised its fees, etc. Every time they improve anything, you pay extra. No one seems to clean after their pets; I actually called the health dept once coz it was so bad. Maintenance guys are nice, but not very knowledgeable and overworked - don't expect your maint. call to be answered quickly. Property crime is not good, but lots of people have kids and they are out at night so it's not as bad as some for that, but outdoor lighting is poor and often broken. Management is incompetent and arrogant. Complex used to be kept up so well but it looks more rundown with each change in management - 3 teams entirely replaced over the past 4 years, NOT good. Complex was built in the 70s but looked nice until about 2 years ago when the lack of maint. started to show. Overpainted doors stick in summer humidity. Apts smell moldy and there are mature female olive trees - do NOT move here if you have asthma or allergies! High tenant turnover and each time seems to bring trashier neighbors - literally, they leave their trash everywhere. Noisy parties coz they are letting in college students now, tenant screening seems to have disappeared. Courtesy patrol and gated' A joke. Never seen courtesy patrol do a thing and they walk right by obvious problems, gate is constantly broken. Even the heated pool is cold and the spa jets are weak. (Haven't seen any rats, but there are ground squirrels which some think are rats.) "AC" is basically glorified swamp cooler, cannot keep up in AZ summer heat.
