The main problem with Fox Point is the management company Scotia Group.

I lived at Fox Point for 2 1/2 years and the only reason I didn't move sooner was because of the hassle.

I have worked in property management for over 5 years and majored in Business at the U of A.

First of all, Fox Point is a pet friendly community.

Generally, in any community there are trash cans in common areas.

This encourages residents to dispose of their trash and their pet feces.

Not at Fox Point.

For some reason the management company decided to remove every last one of the trash cans in the common areas.

This led to the property reeking of dog crap.

Also, when you chose to use a dilapidated grill there was nowhere to throw out your trash.

Second, Fox Point claims to be a crime free community.

I received a flier on my door notifying me of a possible sexual predator living within the community.

I also know that the sketch people living there did not qualify under the crime free program.

If you want a ceiling fan put in your apartment they make you sign a new lease.

Then, they put in some crappy ceiling fan and run a cord from the fan all the way to an outlet.

Oh, and they will only put in 1 fan per lease renewal.

My A/C, or at least that is how they advertise it, was more like a swamp cooler.

I came to find out that it was actually a "chiller" system that cooled your apartment using water.

Even after my chiller was replaced, my apartment would not cool down when temperatures were above 90.

The on-site laundry room was disgusting.

The machines were never cleaned and when I would was and dry my clothes I would find other people's hair stuck all over them.

I ended up using a laundromat instead.

There was also no coin machine in the laundry room which made it annoying to collect quarters or have to go off site to get quarters.

My list can go on and on .

.

.

I'm thankful to finally be out of that dump.
