When comparing apartments in the area, the price isn't as good as it used to be. Before, I would say it was a good price for what you get, but now with all the rent increases, I can't say that anymore because there are a lot of other good apartment complexes (in good neighborhoods) where you can get more bang for your buck. The rent price has gone up over $100 during my short time here. But, the area is nice and you can walk right onto the River Walk. Its close to shopping places, restaurants, and the post office. The signal at the intersection of River Rd. when entering and exiting the complex is also nice to have. I haven't had much maintenance problems inside of my apartment, so I can't say too much about the response time. On the flip side, the walls/floors/ceilings are pretty thin and you can hear other people and their tvs/stereos, and their's not much you can really do about it. If you're on the first floor and someone is above you, then you'll hear them walk and hear their water drain. Also, first floor apartments have to deal with more insects and other creatures. The insulation isn't that great, so you will feel the summer heat, especially on the second floor. Second floor apartments tend to get much hotter and lose much of the cool quickly, so your AC will have to work much harder. You get a covered parking space and you can find many uncovered spots, mainly in the back, since it can be difficult to find a spot in the front. Overall, I'd say its now okay. If it wasn't for all the rent price increases, I would have stayed here much longer.
