My first experience with the Hilands was back in December of 1996, I enjoyed it so much I move back in late 2003. I am glad that I only signed a 7 month lease; I will not renew my lease. When I moved in I needed to have the maintenance crew repair many items. Half of the time whoever took the work order did not take it correctly; I had to re-submit the order several times. I am on the top floor, when one of the apartments next to me turns on their AC the noise saturates my apartment and the walls vibrate. I called the office about this, they said that they would look into it, never received a response. Don?t do you Landry on a Sunday; they don?t clean the laundry after Saturday morning so by Sunday it is filthy. The dumpster in my area of the complex fills quickly; often there is no room for all of the trash so that ends up on the ground. When I moved in I commented on the smell of the gym, now I know why. There are times when I will see the same trash in the same place for days in the gym; it is obvious that it is not being cleaned well. I think the smell comes from the sweat on the rubber mats, I have never seen them mopped. Call about a noisy neighbor, did not get a response. The neighbor below me use to store his trash on his patio for days, reported it, nothing happened for weeks. I could go on and on with other reasons why I would never recommend the Hilands, but I think that says it all. I like the grass, trees and my view but other than that, well let me just re-enforce that I will be moving out. I do have to thank the Hilands for one thing; they are the apartment complex that has convinced me to by my own place.
