Living here was the worst decision of my life

Apartments are old, walls are paper thin, but there's plenty more. In the 2 years I was there, my car was broken into, and the management claimed they couldn't hire a security patrol. They consider rent late after the first and will charge you $50 a day every day after. So I had an emergency and had to leave town the night of the 30th. Came in the morning of the 2nd and explained the situation, and they refused my rent check without the late fee, and said they'd start eviction procedures if I didn't include it. They made me wait 3 weeks to replace a broken dishwasher. Now the kicker is when I moved out. They walked the apartment, said it looked great, then sent me a bill for $740 to replace the entire carpet because it had shrunk at the corners. If I could suggest one thing, it would be think twice and find somewhere else to live. You'll regret moving here. if you don't believe me, ask a few tenants who've been there more than 4 months.

I used to live here a couple years a go and it was the same thing. Though my apartment flooded on Christmas Day and I had no place to go. I had to move all my furniture out and it took a week to move back in. When they repainted the damaged walls and ceilings they ruined a bunch of furniture. And they never replaced the carpet. The noise was crazy and my car was also vandalized in the parking lot. The staff was the worst. Do yourself a favor and don't move here.

Sounds like you got a deal to me, they made me pay 770 for carpet, 250 for a door that was previously broken, and 100's of other BS fees even though i did a walkthrough with them and they said it was fine. I got a lawyer and they settled for 200, amazing what they will do to make an extra buck. My car was broken into, they said it was my own fault, i should have an alarm on it(even though i do) they had to tear out all the walls to replace pipes because the plumming is so old, then when they "fixed" the walls they flipping painted my computer... worst apartment ever HIGHLY not reccomended.

I lived in this complex for 9 months in late nineties due to a job transfer. Sounds like nothing changed here. The one time I was late a day to pay my rent, they not only added the late fee but also would not accept a personal check from me. The noise was unbearable at times, mostly due to bad sound isolation. I found this site to share some of my experiences about apartment complexes in Tucson, I will make sure to drop a couple lines about this complex as well. Best of luck.

You guys kill me!!! First, your car is your car is your car!!! You purchased it!! It is your responsibility to maintain it, keep it insured, and yes, put an alarm on it!!! My car has the "Karr" alarm sticker on it and (I believe) that is why it has never been messed with! The management is not your mommies where they will say, "okay junior, don't worry, mommy will take care of it!!! Grow up and take responsibility where it lies! All apartment complex's have vehicles broken into! It's these punk kids whose parents have no clue as to where they are! As for the late fees, does your lease say that you have to pay late fees as of a certain date? Did you sign this agreement? Then, once again, take responsibility and be an adult about it, or is mommy still wiping your noses?
