Before moving in here (2/2007), I had heard and read about numerous counts of people's cars being broken in to. After talking to some of the tenants and to the management, they said they had heard of it, too, but it was mostly in areas where parking butted up against the desert or was quite poorly lit. For people who parked in the covered spaces, I never heard of any issues.
The grounds are ridiculously well-kept (almost a little TOO well watered given that we live in a desert). Maintenance was prompt and adequate, although a bit impersonal. At times I wouldn't know if someone had been in my apartment or not, as they didn't always leave a service request/service completed note. And when they would leave one, it wasn't always in the most conspicuous of locations.
The management has always been courteous and helpful when requested, but as the property is quite large they aren't especially personable. However, they have never been rude.
I would recommend living here; the one bedroom and studio units are comfortable, very reasonable given the location, the units are well constructed, and I never had any problems with neighbors or feeling unsafe.
