As a transfer student coming in spring semester, la aldea attracted me because of its convenience.. plus I didn't know anyone at UofA to live with. The person I was placed with and I are both undergrads and are both quiet people. We like the fact that we don't have to deal with loud neighbors. What we do not like is the bad vibe we've gotten from grad students who feel like we are intruding on their territory. Multiple times we have been approached within the complex by other residents, inquiring (rudely) how we got an apartment there, how much we're paying, etc. I have been put off by the negative attitude of the people I've encountered within la aldea and have made plans to live elsewhere next fall. Just a heads up to any juniors or seniors who were planning on signing a lease.
