I got stuck at La Aldea for an entire 12 month lease because I couldn't afford to pay the $800 fee to break the lease. The only nice thing I can say about them is that at least there is free cable with HBO and that the 2 and 4 bedroom apartments have full size washers and dryers. But there is no pool, no parking (you have to pay the University to park) and it seemed like every time I turned around they were hitting me with extra fees! You have to set up an account with the UofA for a phone line that costs $20 a month, there is no option of going with Qwest for $13 a month. The one bedroom apartments are dinky and they cost $730 a month! It's not even a 'Graduate Student Housing' anymore because they are letting Undergrads move in to fill up the vacancies. For a Graduate Student living on their own this is not the place to live - there are better and cheaper and just as safe apartments in Tucson and you still have to pay the U of A to park on campus anyway.
