What you save on rent you will pay in electricity!!!

I was really happy to find this apartment; even though they are small they are really cute, and the grounds are really nice. Then, summer came. The two rooms each have their own ancient, clunky, inefficient wall-mounted AC unit. If even one is running, you will not be able to hear the TV or talk on the phone, because they are unbelievably loud. Same with SLEEPING. Which is a problem because Tucson is way too hot to sleep without some kind of cooling in the summer. On the other hand, it's kind of good that you can't have your AC on enough to make your apartment at all comfortable, because the things suck an unbelievable amount of electricity. Even when I hardly ever ran the things, and was MISERABLE, trying to sleep in the heat, my AC bill was like 80 bucks!!! For a very, very small apartment this is outrageous. I have lived in places twice the size and paid more like 40/month in the summer. Also, getting anything fixed was ridiculous. The office staff would do nothing with a work request, or would write down half the information, so that when the guy came, if you weren't there, they wouldn't know what was wrong and you'd have to start all over!
