some good, some bad

When I moved in the apartment was nice, mostly quiet, and maintenance requests were responded to in short order. I also liked that I didn't hear noise from adjoining apartments unless they were especially loud (not frequent).
More recently, however, maintenance is taking a long time to get done. I recently found out I?m not the only person with maintenance problems not being responded to, while they continue to raise the rent and send out notices gushing about the upcoming facelift to make the place look nicer. This is apparently not good enough for the large number of people who have recently left.
There are several things in favor of this complex: The grounds are quite nice, and I?ve even been able to walk barefoot on the grass with no stickers (a rarity in Tucson). The pool is large and nice. The 3-bedroom area has pleasant grassy areas perfect for the kids to play on. I like the enclosed patio a lot, and the apartment has a good amount of space inside. The washer and dryer in unit are also a major plus. However, the difficulties in getting maintenance done coupled with the regular rent increases are definite problems.
