Lakeside Village Apartments

MOVE-IN DAY...FIRST CLUE...IN FOR TROUBLE!! From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 1/18/2003 Years at this apartment: 2001 - 2002   Move-in day.Supposed to be fun,right' First off, the apartment WAS NOT ready for anyone to live in.Some appliances didn't work. Flooring was ripped.Air conditioning/swamp didn't work.On top of it, we met one of our neighbors, who incidently was moving out. He warned us about the problems he's had with ants,and lack of heat/air in certain parts of the apartment. His parting words..."Good Luck". I didn't think too much of it. The maintainence staff hustled to get everything in order for us within a few days.Life was good.We had a 'new' refridgerator, dishwasher AND washing machine finally didn't leak, and the new flooring looked great. One thing we never expected...MOLD!! The blackness reached around to the hallway from the bathroom. Apparently somewhere a bit had been punctured!! It took them about a week after we first called to 'fix' it. They tore up the WHOLE bathroom and placed tape over the holes in some spots!! FIXED''' I DON"T THINK SO!! Finally they patched up the holes...could have done a much better job though. As for security patrol...WHAT SECURITY PATROL''' I saw a man in a uniform shirt rididng hsi bike TWICE the whole time I was there. On the first meeting, he ASKED ME where the fronts of the apartments were. The lighting in the parking lots were not the best and for about 2 months there was NONE!! So, after they raised the rent, I knew it was time to bail. I gave my 30 days notice (so they couldn't come back to hassle me like they did with some others) packed up and moved when the time came. As our first apartment in Tucson, we should have looked around more. I think the apartment would be good for short timers...not for people who are planning on staying awhile! Like the old saying goes.."BUYER BEWARE"...I should have!!
