Los Portales is one of the most poorly managed apartment complexes in town. DO NOT be fooled by the East side location. I have had an absolute horrible experience living here and would not recommend this property to anyone. The maintenance people stole from residents. I moved out and left the apartment in better condition that when I moved in. And I still did not receive a fair settlement on the return of my deposit. Be very careful when filling out the move in form...or the management will make sure you pay for everything.
They also charge for your pet to live here, a ridiculous fee and then they keep your money because the pet is there. Another rip off. This is a very tricky deal. Be careful and aware of what you sign.
Oh, and watch out for the laundry rooms, people steal, watch out for your car, people steal. Security is advertised but never seen.
