The best apartment I've ever rented

Granted, my history of rentals hasn't been much.
I started in a college dorm, like many, I'm sure.
I've lived in two-three rentals but all in the Midwest.
I moved to Tucson one year ago for a job and looked around for an apartment.
This place came highly recommended from a previous tenant who used to work at my place and after having been here for a year, I have to agree as well.
I find the management to be excellent and very nice and down to earth.
Maintenance request get responded to within 24 hours (I had a refrigerator replaced and a ceiling roof fixed).
The clubhouse is large with a pool table, big TV, and a piano! How cool is that' There are two pools and a fully equipped kitchen.
There are also plenty of senior-related activities although I am not a senior myself, but I admire that in a complex.
I would rate my apartment itself as quiet in general, although the walls are rather thin and this was especially true when I had new neighbors next door who seemed to like to party all the time.
However, I feel this is the exception rather than the rule because generally the people here are very courteous and polite through the entire year I've been here.
Rent is pricey for Tucson area, but in my opinion, excellent for the money.
The grounds here are simply the most beautiful I have ever seen.
There are fruit trees all over the place and flowers.
There are lots of wildlife on the grounds such as bunnies, quail, and morning doves.
However, inside the apartment, I can tell you that I've never had a problem with too many pests.
I think the birds eat them all is my theory.
You are allowed to have pets here for an extra fee.
For those who are worried about pets on the premises, I can say that landscaping is incredibly well kept and there is no threat of stepping in someone else's dog's business.
:)
The only reason I unfortunately have to move out is because I have relocated my job to another area.
However, if I continued to work here, I would renew my lease in a heartbeat.
More perks are they provide you with your own covered parking spot.
I heard they're going to start a video library where people can start checking out videos.
I also feel very safe here and have had no problems walking out in the middle of the night.
The apartment complex is close a Safeway grocery store (2-3 minute drive), a 76 gas station that also does excellent service for your car (I had the brakes on my car fixed there), and maybe 5-10 minutes from Foothills mall and 15 minutes from Tucson Mall.
The Post office is also really close - maybe a 2 minute drive.
Some of the cons I would list are the noise factor.
I never felt the need to complain to management, but I'm sure the staff would take any complaints seriously.
More cons would be that utilities are not included.
Sometimes, people will steal your covered parking spot (especially if you're on the end which I was).
Try not to get a spot near the end is my recommendation.
There's no fitness center, but you can get free passes to the local gym at Ina and Oldfather.
Honestly, those cons are pretty trivial to me.
Bottom line: I love this place.
