I indeed used to live here for some time (more than 1 year, that's for sure), and did love it for the most part, but feel compelled to write about a few things.
I Wish that I could endorse, "maybe" at the end, because I think it depends!
First, the grounds are beautiful, but they often mow the grass more often than it needs to be, and at very, very early hours.
The grounds and trees are gorgeous, but please, stop mowing the dirt at 6:30 AM!
Second, Greystar moved in after I left, and I have heard from my former neighbors that they have a bunch of new rules that are not great - they are not heating the main pool this winter, I hear.
I'm sure that that will impinge on the wonderful ladies aerobics group that I so enjoyed the few times that I attended.
Third, the apartments are large and spacious - but my shower door was rusty when I moved in, and I had to do a lot of repair work.
The apartments are appointed with older electronics - I'm pretty sure my oven is from the 1970s, and the refrigerator is very energy inefficient.
Electricity bills could be much lower than they are.
It is nice that the buildings are made of brick however.
My washer ruined many of my clothes, even though the engine (or rotator' I don't remember what it is called) was replaced.
Lastly, there is a woman named Sandra there who I have heard is just dreadful from my neighbors.
She has always been fine with me on the phone, but when I did have some guests who were lost and needed some help getting there (and couldn't reach me, as someone was using my phone), she was rather curt and short with them, and they mentioned this to me.
The lady who lived in my building also told me that she once saw Sandra make a young gal cry in the office! At any rate, Carmen is great.
I suppose that you should pay attention to the staff in the office when you move in, depending on how important that is to you.
My son helped me with this website, and pointed out to me that whenever someone posts a "no" comment about Mission Palms, it seems that there is someone who presents a counter-argument.
I am guessing that this is someone who works at Mission Palms, so do keep that in mind when you read these reviews.
I am sure that someone will address this review, too!
Overall, I'd suggest this apartment community to people in my generation (older), though it seems that more young people seem to be moving in.
There are a few really nice newer places around town that I think everyone should check out before moving to Mission Palms.

This is right on the money. I too lived at Mission Palms for years and completely relate to the comments about the insane amount of mowing and gardening that went on there. We had a townhouse with a large front yard area, and there were many many mornings I would wake up, open my blinds, and see landscapers within feet of me. Scary and it seemed like it was almost every day of the week - or was that just me? Oh, I forgot to mention that the reason my kids and I were awake in the first place was because of the MOWERS AND ELECTRIC TRIMMERS that started at the crack of dawn! Ahhh, I don't miss that in the least. Enough mowing already, geesh!

i also have had many clothes ruined from the washers here, and $80 pair of pants and a couple of work shirts. I also have also had my car broken into, some workers came by and got my name and i never heard anything about it since.
