I lived in the Northpointe apartments for about 6 months. In that short amount of time I encountered many dangers, everything from stabbings, to break-ins, to especially obnoxious management. In August there were several full lawn parties, in which several people were jumped, several guns were pulled, and I even saw one kid run away from a gang of people with half of a bottle still in his head (you would think that this incident alone would have raised managments concerns). Ummm...maybe not. Because the following weekend from that, there were more several thousand people lawn parties, thrown in with lots of underage drinking, and the great news was that almost none of those people actually lived at Northpointe. Also the apartment above mine was broken into by some guy on PCP that was able to kick down the metal door in 2 kicks, while barefoot--did I mention that the door was double bolted' Should this bring about concern that the doors are easily kicked down' Then the following evening from the break-in, my friend and I were walking to get the mail, when we found blood every where and several paramedics, police men, fire men, etc. That were trying to save the life of a young man who was almost stabbed to death in the lawn--he apparently was in the hospital for weeks. Oh yeah one final note, the next night a police officer was attacked and almost shot. If the tennants, the police and even visitors are being attacked, then who is really safe at Northpointe' The managment is aweful and rude, and when you do complain about your safety concerns you can be assured that the manager will gladly ignore your concerns. I would never suggest this place for anyone--I am truly concerned for my own saftey and scared to walk around the complex when it is dark. Also the police and the ghetto bird are now a constant fixture at Northpointe--because they can't control the crime here!
