I lived at Jefferson Commons for two years. The only reason that I was able to put up with everything that happened to me there is because I was so young and did not see these things as being that bad at the time. Among the many things that happened there:

-- Roommate had the top of her convertable slashed and 100 CDs/stereo stolen. Management and police offered no assistance.
-- Came home on numerous occasions to parking lot cordoned off for a shooting/stabbing
-- Never heard of a verifiable rape case, but there were constant rumors
-- Office staff stole packages shipped from desireable stores such as Victoria's Secret and J Crew. They stole birthday gifts that my mother had sent me (office signed for packages according to UPS, but then claimed that they were "lost"). There was no way to prove who had taken them and I was left with no recourse.
-- Office "forgot" that I was living in my apartment. I did not pay rent for 9 months because of this (fine by me), and then I was able to lie to them when it was finally discovered and claim that I only lived there for 3 months. Awesome, but indicative of their extremely poor organization.
-- Random roommates. Is it Northpointe's fault that they moved a girl who tried to sell drugs out of the apartment, had a pet rabbit, was a compulsive liar and thief, and claimed repeatedly that she had a dead brother, which was a complete lie into our apartment' Not really. But it was still kind of crazy.
-- Rumors of a bathtub falling through the ceiling. Not confirmed, but totally possible due to shoddy construction.
-- It also isn't Northpointe's fault that a Jeep Wrangler got torched in the carport in front of building 8. Our downstairs neighbor was involved -- it had to do with his resentful ex-boyfriend who came in with 5 gallons of gasoline and set it on fire as revenge. It was just kind of crazy to be woken up at 3 AM by the Tucson Fire Department and be ushered outside to face a huge explosion and a scene that looked like an apocalyptic nightmare. Bear in mind that I was a college student. Things like this on a school night were somewhat distracting.
-- Other things that woke me up at night: Fireworks (constantly being set off), drunken screaming, shooting, and the Tucson Police Department "ghetto bird", which would do what sounded like practice approaches, low passes, and extended hover practice over the center of the complex at all hours of the night. Occasionally, it would also chase fugitives with its spotlight -- very exciting!
-- Pets (pigs and dogs) living in many apartments against regulations
-- Security would constantly block off the gates and question everybody coming into the apartment. This was completely useless and served only to harass legitimate residents and did nothing to stem the tide of shootings/stabbings/fights. Friends of mine would make up apartment numbers (since security had no idea which were valid) and be admitted with no questions asked. I lived there for over a year without a working gate card. I just followed people through... for a year. Awesome.
-- Rillito Wash (behind the apartments) is very ghetto. Many people from there tend to wander into the apartments at night while drunk and high. Problems.

You obviously haven't lived there in a long time. For example, there has been another apartment complex built between NorthPointe and the Rillito wash. Don't you think it is kind of irresponsbile to post rumors and mis-information about a place when you haven't lived there in over 2 years?
