Kind of crappy, but worse if you're stupid

Parking - I've never actually had a problem finding a parking space here, and I've come home at all hours. Maybe I'm just lucky, but I don't particularly think parking is a problem here. If you get here at an odd time, chances are you'll have to park a little bit out of the way from where your apartment is. If you're really worried about that, just buy a covered parking space that is reserved for your car. As far as cars being broken into... it seems that if you don't lock your car it will be broken into. Amazing, I know. All I ever hear about is how many cars are broken into and how many shootings happen here, but I've never actually witnessed one or heard anyone who had. It's always just "Someone who heard it from someone told me it happened." That's not to say it doesn't happen, I just don't know first or second hand.
Noise here is a serious problem. Have the police on speed dial, because the staff will do nothing. Yes, its annoying. However, if you're not an idiot, you can get the police to red tag half the complex and have people evicted for keeping you up. Just be tenacious about it and try not to get upset - Tucson is full of morons, regardless of which complex you choose.
The grounds here are nice. Volleyball court, basketball court, great pool, etc. Just don't expect the random frat----s or asian-invasions to take kindly to you if you decide to try to crash whatever they're doing on the courts / in the pool.
As far as safety goes, it less safe than the University itself, but more safe than the immediate area around the University. Once again, if you're not stupid you'll be okay.
The overall construction of the place is something that will make serious architechs blush, but most apartments are. It's nothing amazing and it gets the job done. Thin walls / floors would probably be the biggest gripe. You'll have a washer and dryer in the apartment that work relatively well. No complaints about those. The internet service you'll be getting is a joke for anything more than checking your email. I highly suggest you get your roommates to split an internet bill with you from Qwest or something - we have 7Mbs internet split through a router for less than $10 a month per person which beats the hell out of this 768 Kbs limit 3MB per day priority bandwidth crap.
Maintenance crews are incompetant at best. Just keep calling and if they give you any ---- talk to the manager in a professional manner and he'll whoop their ass into shape for you. It WILL get done if you're persistant.
Staff is generally retarded. Don't expect any real information from anyone who isn't on salary. Talk to only managers - the communications majors that work there obviously don't have their communications degree yet.
As far as I know pets aren't allowed, but I do see those barbie looking girls committing acts of animal cruelty by carrying around tiny dogs in their purses, so maybe small dogs are allowed.
Overall this is a place that will get you through your years at the UofA. However, it will get you through those years better if you're one of those people that likes a relatively high blood alchohol level. If you work your ass off quite a bit and don't party much or at all, the place still works, you just have to have some balls to make everyone else STFU and fix your ----, even if it means calling the police and managers. So, if you want a decent apartment at a pretty damn good location and price near the University, and you don't care about noise (or you don't mind being responsible for the eviction of your entire building), this is the place you're looking for.
