This is a really long review but I wished I would have found this page before we moved in. Please make the right living situation for your family or your self and stay away from Oracle Village.
Here are the reasons:1) The first time we saw our apartment on the inside was minutes before we signed the lease because they never had any available. Unfortunately we were in a really tight crunch so there was nothing we could do. We also had to fill out a sheet about any problems we noticed within the apt. - if anything was broken ... shouldn't it be near perfect when you move in'2) A tree broke a water pipe leaving the complex without any running water for 4 days. We couldn't do laundry, shower, bathe, flush the toilet, cook, do the dishes ... on and on. We were provided with 20 oz bottles of water for free. On the third night we were given a complimentary hotel night at a hotel down by the zoo - a good 30 minute drive away when there are hotels accross the street. This doesn't work when you would have to fight the Friday morning traffic of central Tucson to get to work. 3) The appliances SUCK! The hot water heater constantly broke. We went without hot water for days. The air conditioning started leaking in the kitchen mid summer. The dish washer never cleaned a damn thing.4) The kitchen drawers were so old that they didn't stay on the railing. My 2 year old pulled out a drawer to get a spoon and the drawer fell and smashed her fingers.5) The carpet is never really cleaned between residents. A few months after we moved in stains started to reappear. Plus it had been patched in several areas which was coming up so we had to tape it down.6) Cars are constantly getting broken into. One night 4 cars were broken into that were right next to each other - no one saw a thing.7) There are stray cats running around. People let their cats roam free and I can't tell you how many times I stepped in dog ----. The management doesn't enforce any of the lease rules about pets.8) People are constantly moving out and having friends/ family take over their lease without the management knowing. And when they do know they look the other way.9) It seems that there are no background checks done for residents. A lot of "18" year old - no job, not in school kids live there which creates a ton of problems. For example the crack apt. that was across the way.10) The trees are big and old. During the summer storms several of them fell down. It was days before sidewalks were cleared.11) The pool was closed practically all summer because they were re doing it and they hired a crappy company who never finished the job. We were told we could go swim at another apartment complex.12) There is no security at night = Loud pool parties, property damage, ect. One night a family was camping out in the parking lot in their camper.13) Parking sucks especially with the number of broken down cars that take up the un covered spots. The management does nothing about. A motorcycle has been parked and not moved in 5 months.14) The managers in the front office are just rude. They treat everyone like you did something wrong when you have a complaint. 15) The maintence staff is constantly changing. They are all really nice but it takes them forever to get to the apt. to fix anything and then they always have to come back.16) During the summer storms our ceiling fell through in the same spot 5 times. There was probably mold growing in the ceiling. The way they would fix it would be to patch up the hole and paint over it.17) THE KICKER!!!!!! When we moved in, we were told that because they were giving the apt. early that the carpet was not going to be replaced. The carpet was shampooed. We were told that the carpet would be replaced once our lease was up. So after we moved out (a few weeks ago) we were told that becasue the carpet was going to be replaced, that all we needed to worry about was vacum cleaning. Granted there were a few stains that happened - we had a two year old ... but we got a notice that we owed them about $50. They took $550 (our deposits) and are charging us for the replacement of the carpet that they stated would be replaced at their expense. They also told we completely damanged the carpet whic his un-true - besides the pink stain from our daughter. We were also told that there were significant pet damages done to the carpet... Excuse me I have a cat. They told me that there were several places that he dug up the carpet ( my cat lived such a terrible life that he destroyed the carpet'''' REALLY''') and that he peed and ---- all over the place and left stains. He never once peed on the floor. Yes there were a few times he missed the litter box - but it is not like I stepped in the ---- and ground it into the carpet. Who would do that'''' Cat ---- is easy to clean up without making a huge mess.
