This was absolutely the worst apartment experience I have ever had. The apartment we moved into, which looked lovely on the outside (we did not view the inside until the day of move-in-- this is a mistake I will never make again) was dreadful on the inside. The insane overwatering (can we say conservation in the desert'') that goes on in that complex left the apartment with a strange, musty, dank odor. The washing machine was musty. The toilets had strange algae in the tanks, which we finally got rid of after several treatments with noxious chemicals. And, as icing on the spooky cake, during our last month of living there, large earthworms began crawling around the livingroom and bedroom floors. They either slinked through the closed sliding glass doors or came up through cracks in the concrete' Perhaps they surfed through the toilets' It was hideous. To get a break from the constant musty odor, if we wished to go outside, we were bombarded with children run amok, who, if they weren't skateboarding and shouting, lurked about with eerie vacant stares. I think Stephen King somehow wrote this apartment complex into existence. Despite all the concrete, the apartments were noisy. We had personal items stolen from the property. The management mysteriously changed from inviting and open to unhelpful and hostile once the lease was signed. We hightailed it out of there once the lease was up.
