I was glad to see someone else mention how Theresa talks down to tenants - now I know it isn't just me. Our previous manager, Pat, cared about the quality of living at Park Place & was trying to repair the mess Darlene left her. Then she had surgery & had to leave, & now we have a primma donna who seems to think the residents who pay her salary are spoiled brats who need to be scolded for trying to get her to do her job. She actually had the nerve to suggest if we were not happy with spending over a month trying to have our A/C repaired properly, we should move! Nice thing to tell someone with a chronic disability - like moving is easy! Perhaps she should simply remember she works for the residents, & DO HER JOB.
The apartments in this complex are nicely designed, & it is block construction with cement between floors so it is quieter. The pines & palms make for beautiful landscaping, & it is still an attractive complex, in spite of destroying the medeterranian-style, more distinctive (& much cooler) white exterior with this ticky-tacky cookie-cutter beige blagh.
Unfortunately, Prime Group's profit only stance is destroying what once was one of the 3 top complexes in Tucson. Maintenance is woefully inadequate, both in manpower & capabilities. It frequently takes 3 months to get anything fixed, even roof leaks & heating & cooling. Only after weeks of on site staff attempting to make repairs will professionals be brought in to do the job properly. Residents are promised someone will come in on a certain date, then no one shows up or even calls.
Since December our safety has been put in jeapordy with 5 issues: 1st, Theresa refused to shut down heating units with increasingly deteriorating delayed ignition problems. We had to call the gas company not once but TWICE, even after they had red-tagged the 1st one & ordered it shut off until it was replaced! All the while the entire office staff kept insisting it was safe, going so far as to say the gas company was wrong!
Next torch-down roofing was applied to occupied buildings - despite the extreme fire hazard. When I called after our apartment filled up with choking smoke, I was treated as a nuisance & no one from the complex bothered to come to our unit. I had to go out & get the roofers in myself. For 3 days we had heavy smoke in our apartment & the unit behind us had to be de-toxified. I asked, in writing, for a list of materials & process of the roofing but was ignored.
Third, even though I have notified Theresa of people climbing over the back fence & even banging on our elderly neighbor's door yelling for food in the middle of the night, 2 lights along the back have been out for over 6 months. I discussed this & the need for at least ground string lighting along the back parking, but only 1 attempt was made to repair the broken lights, & for 3 months the bare bulb was left hanging from the post. A globe has been placed, but the lights are still out.
Fourth, for 2 years I have brought up the need for speedbumps along the entire back stretch of driveway. A few months ago I brought a map in to Theresa showing where the speedbumps are needed & told her about an elderly resident almost being run down & the speeding & drag racing that goes on back here. I reminded her of the numerous children who are at risk of being hurt or killed, plus people walking their dogs or taking out their trash. Her solution was to put a few sentences among other reminders in the last newsletter. The speeding has not decreased one bit.
Last, we no longer have landscaping blowing dead leaves & debris away from the buildings. Not only are the sidewalks slippery enough when wet, the added leaf cover makes them like ice. In addition, the increased fire hazard with all this dead debris should interest the fire department & the county. All this kindling will spread fire nicely, especially in the hot dry desert. Sadly, the solution will probably be to cut down all the oxygen-beneficial trees, as that has already been occuring this past month or so.
Just beware of renting from Prime Group at all. If moving was easier we wouldn't still be here, & I could already write a book about this company's unpleasant style of management.
Note: On 6/30 the 3 month accumulation of leaves & debris was finally removed by our building. I hope the others are being done also.

Right on target. Teresa is uncaring, unconcerned and plain rude. Angie (the ass't magr) is no different. I cannot believe how insanely difficult it is to get maintenance to do ANYTHING at all. I am paying to BREAK my lease and I am outta here!
