The facilities are reasonably nice and the views are great as advertised. I am with the government and I am approaching middle age. This I usually own a home, but I have rented occasionally as well. The maintenance and service was easily the worst I have ever experienced anywhere in the US.

Specifically:

The "heated" pool wasn't for the entire year

The locks at the pool and the weight room didn't work for the entire year

There were only six aerobic machines in the workout room. A bike, a row machine, an elliptical, and two treadmills. The bike, the row machine, and one fo the treadmills didn't work for the entire time I lived there.

Two locks on the windows of my apartment didn't work for the entire year. Maintenance never fixed it despite numerous calls. I used a makeshift rod to attempt to keep the window locked, but I feared every time I had to leave my wife and kids at home alone.

They promised me a movein on a certain date, then didn't deliver. My family and I were forced to stay in a hotel for the week with our possession in a moving truck. Then they told me it would take longer because the carpet was bad and needed to be replaced (after we waited several days for cleaning). I told them I'd take it as is(once the carpet dried), and they had the nerve to try to charge me for the carpet after I left. Management had changed twice since then.

After the first year, they tried to raise the rent by $450 on everyone.

Parking was a hassle. You get one spot. You can park another vehicle in a visitor spot, if you can find one. You won't be able to most of the time.

We had a serious problem with young kids cranking their music (and I'm a classic rock/ metal head who doesn't mind loud music). But this was LOUD. They also had a great amount of vehicle traffic at night. Apparently this place takes public housing benefits, section 8 or whatever. Primered Fast and Furious cars with no exhausts drove up and down the parking lot at all hours. People stop, walk to the apartment, and walk back out in five minutes. Drug dealing was suspected but the deputies were never able to prove anything.

So, despite needing to stay in temporary housing for more time, I moved out and found something better for drastically less money. You should too.

I forgot about the scorpions. I only had a few and only got stung once, in the hand. A friend lived on the north side and they had scorpions everywhere. Stay away from the apartments that have the grass out front. They water the grass too much, which causes standing pools of water, which attracts scorpions and other critters.

I lived there several years and moved because the second time I lived there I had 29 scorpions in my apartment. After much research I discovered that the attic was infested and gave them my research and the advice of a local pest control company I had solicited. They acted as if I had lost my mind. They never paid attention and after a year I did get to talk to their pest control person who gassed the attic causing 8 more scorpions to come down to my apartment. I have lived in the desert 20 years and never saw one except at Pinnacle Heights in my apartment! Building 18. Don't go there. I lived in building 20 first and had one. Plus, the A/C started pouring water out on my floor and it took three months, at which time I moved out. MY A/C bill went up to almost 400.00 a month, from the previous summer's 150 a month. They told me it was just hotter (it was not) and when the A/C pipes on the roof leaked water into my ceiling fan and down onto my remotes they told me it did not happen. There is a leak ourside the front door and the plaster came off three or four times a year. That was never fixed (they fixed the plaster but not the leak.) When I left they were in a big hurry for the keys so I left them in the mailbox and they did not get them out until Monday and charged me for three days more of rent. It is a beautiful place, well built and nice but the management really is condescending and does nothing for you. I reported them to the BBB and they never responded. Just goes to show what kind of folks you are dealing with.
