I've lived here since the end of October 2007 and am satisfied. The views are amazing, the apartments are very nice and have a lot of room as well as considerable storage space. The office staff, as well as maintenence, are very friendly and respectful. Repairs are done promptly and correctly. It's very quiet and tranquil here. The most negative aspect for me is my neighbors, only on one side. The rest of them are friendly and respectful. There is the occasional scorpion in my apartment, but considering the complex is nested in the foothills it's to be expected. The management provides pest control once a week. My last negative complaint would be the extra $75 monthly for the view (which I don't pay for and don't have). I would love to see the mountains from my balcony, but it's not in my budget.

It has been a while since I made my post. I have been at Pinnacle Heights for about a year now and and I agree with this review. However, I have yet to see a scorpion. I am curious to know if the scorpion problem is back by the wash in the back of the complex or not.

I live near the office and have had maybe 7 or 8 scorpions (that I know of). Three were in my bedroom, one of which was in my bed- blagh! I've also seen javelina's at by my car at night, and to my surprise a full grown bobcat by my stairs. I would take the scorpions any day over my neighbors. My cats usually alert me to the scorpions, which is good. I would appreciate any other response on similar scorpion problems, though as previously stated it's to be expected - we live in between foothills.
