Great place to live... BUT...

Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2005
I lived at Posada Del Rio for 3.5 years, and overall it was a really nice place to live. I had the smallest 1 bedroom you could get there, and it was very cheap for the area. The gated entry is nice, and having a washer/dryer in your apartment is great. The management is pretty good, and the grounds have nice views if you face the inside of the complex where there is a lot of green for Tucson. The carports are nice also.
HOWEVER, for about a half year while I was there, our whole building was infested with roaches, and while roaches seem to be a common problem in Tucson (we saw a few in a university building one day), it was absolutely horrible. They tried to get rid of them (somewhat slowly), and eventually did, but it was a very unpleasant experience. I am a clean person, and so realize that it could happen to you too, no matter how clean you are, because they come up from the sewers sometimes. After the roaches cleared up, I did like the place enough to keep living there for my last year I was in Tucson.
So, in summary, a great place for 2.5 years out of 3, a horrible place for .5 years. I lukewarmly recommend it.
