I lived in Promontory Apartments once before this lease. I had a good experience, so when I started to look again, I of course thought of Promontory again. This current lease has been one disappointment after another. I have had a couple experiences of calling to the office needing to have something fixed (leak in ceiling and vent, shower not draining, faucet consistently leaking) and the call not being responded to or followed up on for more than four days. About every two there is a car in one of the stalls that has been broken into. When the water was out for a day and half, even though it was a city problem, when I called in to the emergency line for Promontory, the manager had a recording that basically said, It s not our fault, Call the city. I understand Promontory can t be responsible for everything, but it would have been nice to feel like the manager was trying to be proactive about the situation, maybe say Sorry for the inconvenience, and oh here is the number for the City. It certainly would have sent a more positive message if it would have been in a different tone.

I could continue this list, but instead I ll just cut my losses here. I m leaving Promontory and I will make sure not only not recommend Promontory, but let others know about my disappointment with management and the complex itself. The sad thing is, this really is a great location. Despite itself, I think Promontory will still have renters simply because of the location.

As a fellow renter, I understand your frustration with the circumstances that you have experienced. However, it is necessary to realize a few crucial elements. First of all, assuming safety in regards to you and or your possessions (i.e. an automobile in a parking lot) is absurd. In addition, we as renters are provided with a service that is based on a high volume atmosphere. It sounds like you have little else to do with your life but to complain about things that could be a lot worse!!!
