Glad to be leaving

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2006
I lived here for just over two years, and I'm thrilled to be leaving. For the first year-and-a-half, I didn't have any major problems. But things really started going downhill this spring. The pest control guys has been in my apartment four times to spray for roaches- and they're still there!
But here's what really ticks me off: my neighbors are heavy smokers and their smoke gets sucked into the ventilation system and pulled back into my apartment. Gross! The stench is so strong, I can smell it outside my front door. Friends who come over comment on how bad it is. I've complaind several times to the office. Finally, the property manager and his supervisor decided to go check it out. They said they "could smell no smoke whatsoever". That has got to be a complete lie...either that of niether of them has any sense of smell "whatsoever." The guy even went so far as to tell me the smell may be part of a structural problem and that it was just part of apartment living. Bottom line, if there's a problem and it's going to cost them much or take much effort to fix it- they're not gonna do it.
If you are a non-smoker, DON'T LIVE HERE! If you don't like cockroaches, DON'T LIVE HERE! In fact, DON'T LIVE HERE period. You can do waaaaay better.
