I lived here for less than a year (eight months, to be exact). I had over a dozen instances of black mold appearing in different areas of my apartment. Water leaks were a monthy occurance, often ruining personal items and causing mold. The situation got so bad, that I was permitted to leave my apartment, and my lease was pro-rated, without penalty. My former upstairs neighbor informed me that within the week, they had rented out my old apartment (not nearly enough time to even repaint, let alone repair months of ill-maintained mold damage). While I was moving out, we had discovered 4 more occurances of mold. Everyone who had helped me moved ended up getting quite sick within days of helping me move. Everytime I had a problem with a leak or something or other, there was always some sort of excuse why things were not being repaired fast or well. On one instance, the air conditioner in my apartment would not blow cold, but I was told I was imagining things, eventually, the A/C unit (which was not hooked up to the ducts) had leaked into the ceiling, and then into the walls in my closet, the result was dozens of articles of clothing ruined because of mold and water damage. I contacted the state and was informed that I would have a case against the complex, but since I was no longer living there, I could not file legal action against the complex. The mold was the most severe problem, by far. The parking was always a struggle. The water was frequently turned off for entire days, so if you slept in, you went to work dirty. The pool area was not well cleaned and the gym had evidence and the stench of water leakage. Our neighbors used to let their dog loose off our porch and never clean up the 'messes', a problem we complained about, but was never taken care of. Our fridge died, and spoiled lots of food. Our Air conditioner almost never produced cool air. High school kids from next door were always jumping the walls, and breaking into the pool area. There was lots of vandalism to areas like the laundry room. This place is poorly maintained, constructed and managed. Be very wary, you will not be paying for a safe and healthy living enviroment. The conditions were deplorable and getting an appropriate response was impossible. Until management gets their act together, look elsewhere.
