The worst apartment I've every lived in

This is the worst apartment I have ever lived in. I had noise issues with both downstairs neighbors as well as my next door neighbor. Complaints to the manager and assistant manager were ignored and they refused to send security personnel to tell the neighbors to turn the noise down. Noise included loud stereo music, loud television, and loud cell phone conversations held outside my living room window during hot weather. I finally called the police on my next door neighbor who was making most of the noise. I found out via loud cell phone conversations outside that my downstairs neighbor was on parole and he was not on the lease of the original tenant. When I brought this to the attention of the manager of Raintree, refused to investigate the situation. When I spoke with her in her office about noise issues I was told that I don t get along with anybody, and shown the office door. My original neighbors moved out and were replaced with even worse tenants. Two young brothers moved next door and regularly had parties and held lengthy loud cell phone conversations outside on the balcony. When I complained to them their response was too bad, and they made it a point to make even more noise. I had to call the police on them too. My new downstairs neighbor spent most of the day a part of the night outside chain-smoking during warm weather which meant that when I opened my windows, his smoke filled my apartment. To add insult to injury, a week before I moved, my car was stolen from the parking lot and the assistant manager could only remark: We can t do anything about that.

In the year and a half that I lived in Raintree, so-called security was terminated, the manager was negligent, verbally abusive, and told me essentially to fight it out with my neighbors and not bother her again. In the many years I have lived in apartments, Raintree was the most poorly managed I have ever seen and I witnessed other incidents between warring tenants that became violent. None of the incidents I witnessed or experienced would have happened under more responsible and professional management. I would advise anybody who wants a decent place to live to avoid Raintree at all costs.
