I don't know what many of these reviews are talking about or if they were even living in the same complex as I was. Rio Cancion was the best apartment complex I lived in during college. It is not a 'college centered' complex. Many of the residents are working professionals or family and the complex is quiet.

My car NEVER got broken into, I don't know if it was the location or luck (we were in the back of the complex). We had plenty of parking always and never used our covered space because it was too far away.

The apartments are older and you can expect problems that come with the age (I believe they are about 25 years old). The day we moved in our A/C was broken and we were extremely hot but the office took care of it immediately. Any and all maintenance items, including pest control, were taken care of and done well. The apartments are getting a makeover with new appliances and light fixtures.

They have a new owner and management company. Hopefully this will change any management conflicts that have occured before. If you're nice to the staff, they are nice and will help you out. They are even cleaning up the grounds, re-doing the pools and fitness center. Things are definately looking up for this complex.

I am a real estate agent and have seen many Tucson complexes. Overall, for the price and location, these are large and great apartments! I would have loved to continue living there but I had to move for work. Definately consider moving here!
