I will try to be as tactful as possible in the following review.

Parking in this complex is indeed a hassle, as I am constantly having to make 3 and 4 point turns to enter my space (when its available) and also when leaving. The spaces are too small and are too close to the spaces on the opposing side. Safety is definitely an issue with parking, as many residents have to park quite a distance from their apartments, and walking from the car to the front door at night can be a harrowing experience for those distrustful of people with night owl behavior.

Noise is a huge problem as I can hear my neighbors far too clearly in the bathrooms, and their constantly running child rattles my TV and shakes picture frames from the walls. Also some residents also have to deal with a Circle K being almost literally on top of their little spot, ...so the reverse beeping of Budweiser Delivery trucks and the like are lullabies that many unfortunate residents have to get used to while trying to get some shut eye.

I will admit that the grounds are in decent shape for a plot of land in Arizona, and it seems that management is taking strides to improve upon it.

I really can't give you an unbiased opinion about the general safety of Sabino Canyon Apartments (other then its obvious parking issue) because of the nature of my job and various personal experiences. I do not believe in humanity, and I give no one the benefit of doubt. I am always ready to aggressively defend myself and my wife from anyone I see, so please take my rating on safety with a grain of salt.

I really don't expect much out of the materials used in apartment construction. However, the materials and quality of labor that I see in the new housing developments sprouting up all over Tucson is not that much better so I can't truly complain. I really just wish that there was more space between the bottom and top floor and that some more sound dampening materials were used as I do have VERY noisy up stairs neighbors.

For all my complaints, I can't fault the staff. They working with a piece of property that was pretty sad when they took over, and as stated before with my opinion of the grounds, they are doing what they can to make things better. They are fairly helpful and I can honestly say that they have never been on the receiving end of one of my "something needs to be done, now!" rampages. I treat them with respect and they return the favor in kind with professionalism and timely service.

Overall, I can't completely say this apartment is a total bust, ...and that is mainly because the rent is actually decent here. But, any higher and I would've raised a lot of hell about some of the smaller things that I let slide. If you want a decent amount of space for a slightly lower rent and you don't mind the possibility of the issues stated above, ...then this is the place for you. But, if you work 50 hours a week like I do defending this country from sadistic religious zealots and everything thats not American...please spend more money for rent and get something of higher quality.

Please tell me where is higher quality? I am relocating from MA. I cant seem to find anything that is of higher quality with a great school district for a 5 and 6 year old. Any help would be greatly appriciated!

You have no idea. it must've changed sunce you lived there because now, the place is spotless, all the apartments are newly renovated, noone EVER takes my parking spot and every problem has been resolved, or fixed within an hour of me bringing it to their attention AND I WASN'T CHARGED A CENT. the staff is very polite and work with you and what you can afford i give it 5 stars, im now entering my 2nd lease with them, as is my friend and we all are 100% satisfied with everything we have seen heard and been through here.
