O.k. apartments, horrible management
From: -Anonymous-Date posted: 11/17/2009
Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2008
I lived in one these apartments for four months. The apartments themselves are very nice. Hot-tub is cold. Only one washer/dryer per floor, laundry rooms always filthy. Make sure to keep your things locked up securely; the "security gates" and laser beam security system on top of the fence are pretty much useless. Random people still wander in and out. Someone smashed my car windows to steal a bike I was storing; this happened inside the "secure" Sahara parking lot and in broad daylight. Nightly from my balcony I could see homeless individuals bedding down in the alley next door. Management is very rude and unhelpful, particularly the owner ted. I had to leave halfway through my lease because I became ill (diagnosed with testicular cancer). The owner ted promised my mother that if he rented out my apartment within a few weeks that he would forgive any lease penalties. We didn't hear from him for two years, then out of the blue a few weeks ago I got a notice from a bill collection agency for $2,000. My mother called ted to see what happened, and he promptly accused her of being a liar, saying she was just making things up to get out of paying the lease. He denied having ever talked to her or to me about my illness. All in all, not a great experience.
