I needed a furnished apt for two months while I did research during my academic sabbatical. The Sahara worked out perfectly for me. Having access to cable TV and DSL in my room was a bonus. I was able to have a month to month lease and management was flexible when I had to leave a bit early. The security was excellent. I always felt safe and as a single woman, that was very important. The management was very friendly and helpful. There were occasional maintenance problems involving the spa, hot water heaters and the pool, but the maintenence crew got right on top of the problem and did their best to accommodate renters. The Sahara is in an ideal location; close to the U of A, downtown, shopping and bus lines. Bring a mattress pad since the mattresses were pretty uncomfortable, but all in all, I'd recommend this apartment complex for those who want a safe, flexible, clean, relatively quiet, thoughtfully managed, and moderately priced temporary living experience.
