Let me clear up this debate. Sahara Apartments provides three things. A bed to sleep in, puke colored bulidings and complete social isolation. It's up to you to decide if it's right for you. There are other complexes with comparable price, your own room and a real student community. It would not be surprising to learn that the positive reviews on this site were written by the staff.(p.s. billy in maintenence is timely, polite and hard working) Wait, I forgot to list a few more things you'll enjoy here at the Sahara Apartments. You'll get to deal with a ridiculous card system for laundry and shuttle rides, you'll be threatened if your music is on past 7pm and you get to live with a landlord who threatens to call the cops on his own residents even when they aren't disturbing people!
I have lived here for almost a year now alongside many others who I have shared this experience with and we're all angry at the sahara for false advertising. The "high-speed" internet they advertised before I signed a lease turned out to be a blatant lie. Other reviews claim it works when not playing games or downloading large files. This means the internet does what most people want, most of the time. WHEN YOU CAN'T DO WHAT IS REASONABLY EXPECTED OF AN INTERNET CONNECTION, GUESS WHAT' YOU CAN'T CLAIM YOU PROVIDE AN INTERNET CONNECTION!
Many residents here have complained about the internet service and no noticable improvement has been made all year. Thanks Sahara, maybe after you and your future (non)customers read this I can get what I paid for.
