Don't rent here!

I have lived in this apartment complex for over 4 years.
In the past year or so, new management took over.
The members of the new office staff are very unfriendly and immature and the maintenance team is unprofessional.
Not too long ago, we received a notice on our door saying that they needed to come in to change out the fire alarms.
That's all well and fine, except that my husband and I are in the military and work nights and sleep during the day.
I left a note on the door saying to please keep it down when they come in, and to not go into the master bedroom because I will be asleep there.
Rather than just come in and do the work in the other rooms and come back and get the master bedroom a few hours later, they resorted to banging loudly on my door for minutes on end while simultaneously calling me on the phone until I came to the door, and told me that regardless of whether or not I'm asleep they had to do everything right then and there.
Then there was the time when we put in a work order for our air conditioning.
Again, we work nights, therefore, we did not give them permission to enter as it would mean banging and loud talking while we were trying to sleep.
Well, morning came and my husband and I had just got off of work.
We were getting into bed and starting getting...well, intimate for lack of a better way to put it.
Suddenly we hear keys in the door and next thing you know a maintenance guy along with two other helpers are standing right there in our apartment WHILE WE ARE IN BED!!! I should have sued.
Oh, and my favorite thing is listening to the maintenance team curse and swear as they stand around talking all damn morning going to and from my car.
That's always a treat.
Our carpet was getting a bit worn, and we told them we needed it changed.
I swear, the new carpet they put in is no better than the carpet you'd find at the cheaper apartments.
And we pay $830 a month for rent.
Oh, and don't let them fool you...that 1100 sq ft or so they quote you includes the patio AND the storage closet on the patio, it's not the living space only.
I wouldn't be surprised if it also included the landing area by the front door, too.
Bottom line--do not rent here.
They charge too much, are unprofessional and immature, and you'll be much happier at The Greens just up the road.
I know all of the people I know who live there are.
I think another reviewer put it best when they said that San Ventana was "Low class living at a high class price."

The maintenance staff is great but I do agree about the office management. I have had several issues with them over the past year. Spanning from lost checks to inadequate parking and unfriendly demeanor. Same sprinkler issue, I asked to be called before they enter my apartment, I work 2 minutes down the road and I dont like the idea of having someone going through my stuff, lots of it wotk related. I asked the office way ahead of time to call. Needless to say I never got that call. Then they lost my rent last month and wasted 3 hours of my morning on fixing their mistake. Wouldnt mind but they were very rude about it (cost me $200 in wages). Never mind the fact that my truck does not fit in theor space and I cant park backwards even though it makes everyones (neighbors) lives easier. Lived at lower rent apts and was on 1st name basis with management (I like that). So overall I agree "Low class high price!"
