Don't move here unless you wanted to be cheated

My husband and I lived at San Ventana for 4 years.

The management during the first 2-3 years was great.

Everything was fixed in a timely manner and the staff was always courteous and professional.

Then it all went down hill about a year or so ago when new management took over.

The place looks nice on the outside, but after living there for a while, you can't help but begin to notice things.

The carpet is no better than what you would find at the low end apartments near the military base.

The appliances are cheap and break often.

The central air and dishwasher have got to be the loudest appliances known to man.

Don't expect to get much peace when those puppies kick on.

The "maintenance" staff is a rouge bunch of unprofessional buffoons who I usually witnessed standing around talking rather than doing any actual work.

Don't expect any courtesy from this bunch.

They will continue on in their vulgar behavior and language regardless of whose around or walking by.

It's unbelieveable.

I don't know if they are disgruntled or what but it became an issue with us several times.

Oh, and your security deposit' Once you give it to them, it's as good as gone no matter how well you clean.

Upon moving out, we cleaned the apartment as specified on the 30-day notice paperwork: "A light cleaning throughout the apartment" and "turn on the self-cleaning oven".

We did those things and more.

I even vacuumed the base boards throughout the entire apartment.

Imagine our surprise when we get a notice that not only are not getting our $200 deposit back, but we OWE them $125 for cleaning.

They are liars and cheats!

Parking will be an issue depending on where in the complex you live, especially if you have two cars.

Bottom line: For this price you may as well rent a house.

You may pay a tad bit more, but you'll definitly be happier.

Better yet, just buy a house.
