Condo Conversion Hell

This complex decided to go condo, and did not inform residents before they renewed their leases. Now, we are locked in throughout the duration of the noise of the remodeling, the constant displacement from parking, large amounts of traffic and excessive amounts of people on the weekends looking to buy. Also, an insider told us that if someone purchases an apartment with a current lease bearer - they will be able to alter the lease and the rent however they desire. I think as a courtesy we should have been informed in the beginning, and we should be let out of our lease so that as soon as we find an affordable location we can move out of this living hell we once called home. Why anyone would buy this piece of crap apartment with the herd of Rhinos that live above us is beyond me.
