You don't want to live here From: apple2004 Date posted: 5/21/2004 Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2004   We were attracted to Sandstone Apartments by the nice grounds, the reasonable pricing, and the central location. However, after living here for a year I would probably say it's been the worst renting experience of my life. When I first moved into the apartment, my car had been broken into, stereo stolen, and my AC broke- all within the first week! It took the maintenance team THREE WEEKS to properly fix my AC. Within the next couple of months, my washing mashine broke, my garbage disposal broke, and my AC started leaking again. Then someone stole the license plate from my car (what a hassle!) Although some of my neighbors have not had the bad experiences I have, I would not recommend this place. The office staff is rude and inconsiderate, the maintenance staff is incompetent and slow, and the crime level is ridiculous. Although the apartments are gated, the gates are constantly propped open and people come and go all the time. Other problems include MAIL THEFT, CAR THEFT, VANDALISM, etc. If you value your CAR, your TIME, and your PEACE OF MIND, don't live here!
