Don't move here

In some ways, Sandstone is a good place. The floorplans are generally very nice, and for a single college student is was a decent place to live. I have lived here for two years and will not be renewing my lease. My car was broken into twice, and my friend's car once. Parking for guests is inadequate at best, for residents it is satisfactory, but even then there isn't always parking convenient. Fortunately they have recently posted a night watch, but for my first 20 months or so here, you pretty much had to hope for the best. Management is extremely unresponsive. In two years the light on my porch has yet to be fixed, after several requests I gave up. My neighbor had a leak in the bathroom above her and had a hole in her ceiling for about a month. When I was gone my water heater broke, and management never even called. My boyfriend stopped by to pick up my mail and found my bedroom full of fans and my carpet discolored from the particles in the hard water. When they were done fixing it, they never cleaned up. I had to clean it myself. I have honestly never felt safe here. I even had an encounter one morning with detectives who where searching the dumpsters after getting a tip that a body had been dumped here. No joke. And I've heard gunshots on numerous occasions. The pools are often broken in the summer due to contamination. As if all this was not enough, one month, after my rent check had already cleared, I got a note on my door threatening eviction for failing to pay rent. When I brought in a bank statement showing when the rent had cleared, they said it must be a mistake on the part of me or my bank. They finally realized that my rent had been posted to another apartment. Then, a week later, I got another eviction notice saying that my rent check bounced. Again, I brought in the bank statement, and again they didn't want to believe that I have in fact paid my rent. The incompetance here is rediculous. I have gone through several next door neighbors, one of which was a very questionable tenant. There was a constant berage of people banging on the door at all hours of the night, and sometimes even banging on my door. The "gated entry" was a joke, the lock was broken more often then not. This place has been adequate, but I would not recommend moving here. vWhRVi5nYYIuEh4W7K3l
