(I had applied for a management position there and changed my mind when I read this website.
Then I wrote management about everyone's concerns and this is what they had to say...)
Thank you for your note.
We understand your concerns however, you must know, since you have been in property management that you cannot always make every resident 100% happy.
We do our very best to provide excellent customer service and create a professional and friendly environment for every resident.
Regarding the particular website that you mentioned.
Apt Ratings.com is a website that everyone has access to including the resident who have been evicted or had other issue with management.
We've also seen former employees post very unprofessional comments and half-truths to this website as well.
We have encouraged our satisfied resident to post comments on this website but as you know usually the unhappy ones are the first to do this.
Best wishes with your future,
Elizabeth Beaulieu,
Vice President of Apt Operations
Nicolosi & Fitch, Inc.

It's true that the unhappy tenants are first to post. They're also the first to tell ther friends about their experience. It's said in the marketing world that a happy customer will tell two friends, an unhappy customer will tell ten.
What's also curious is the idea that there is likely a barrage of disatisfied customers that don't have Internet access, are unaware of this site, or are unmotivated for other reasons to post a formal complaint. Which makes our job that much more important. If you want to make a difference, consider it your civil obligation to tell prospective residents walking into the office that you have had a very negative living experience at Sandstone, and that you strongly urge them to find another place to live. Take it upon yourself to print a summary of these posts and leave it in the brochure box by the entryway. Do what you can to disuade people from signing a lease, even at the risk of glares or threats from the management at the desk. Start a community organization and talk to fair housing representatives and lawyers to make sure your rights, and those of your neighbors, are being met. Anty up and mail (they can't touch the mail by Federal Law) letters to your neightbors (you know their address) citing the issues you've had with the management and seeing if they've had similar issues. Start a free blog at BlogSpot or WordPress to cmmunicate with your neighbors. Only after the community starts to take action will things start to change. Only after the management realizes that you are the CUSTOMER and not the guy or gal dropping $600 a month for a ------ hole in the wall and a couple of pet roaches. Sadly, it's inevitable that they will win. You can make it better, but they will ALWAYS be liars. Move out as soon as you can. Buy a house--it's almost a cheap with the market the way it is. Do what you can. But get out soon. Former Tenant |
