Noisy, average, unsafe...but hey you get free cable and internet!

Although you now get high speed internet and basic cable included with rent, there are some notable downsides to this complex. Many college student reside here. I have had to call the police numerous times about noisy neighbors adjacent and below me. Only months after I moved in did I find out that years ago this propery was previously Secion 8 housing. This property is nothing more than decent. You're still a good two miles from campus even though they claim it's much closer. If you plan on biking to class, keep in mind it gets hot in middle of May to early fall. Also, the evaporative cooling systems are quite noisy. It's difficult to hear the television, phone, and even personal conversations when you have it blasting during the heat filled months. I question the so called "free cooling and heating" considering my electric bills for the two bedroom were never a couple bucks from $50/month regardless of weather. The neighborhood is not the safest. I've had my car windows broken out in the parking lot at 6 PM one night. Almost every night you will hear what I call the "Grant St. Symphony," police sirens blaring closeby throughout the night. My advice is to find somewhere closer to campus if you are a student. If you're not a student, try finding a better neighborhood. The eastside and foothills seem a lot safer and quieter.

Cable is no longer free, and it sucks, terrible reception quality few channels and the internet is worse, not high speed, you cant download anything and streaming stuff is slow. Often the internet just stops working for a day or two
