Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2005
Pros: Amazingly friendly and responsive staff. Grounds and facilities are tidy. Almost never need maintenance, but if I do, they take care of it within 48 hours (and this is fairly minor non-emergency stuff).
My unit, at least, is in good condition with modern stove and refrigerator and good dishwasher. If I have a "problem" parking, that means I have to walk about 20 feet to get to my car rather than it being right outside my apartment. AC and heat work very well. I'm always comfortable.
Cons: A bit pricey for the rest of town, but reasonable given relative proximity to campus (certainly cheaper than a house if you're living alone like I am).
Other comments: Lived here two years and never had my car broken into, or strange people wandering around the apartment. Very quiet, which is important for someone who works at/from home a lot. Maybe too sedate for undergrads looking for a more social environment. If residents have thought it wasn't that great here, they haven't seen some of the places my friends, colleagues and classmates live, or, say, lived in a real city to know what "--------" truly means. All in all, I've been happy here.
