I have lived here for about 9 months. Here are the negs. and pos. as we have seen them: Negatives: -old appliances (need to be serviced or replaced);poor quality for lighting fixtures, which do not seem to fit the lights themselves;- expensive for what you get; -LOTS of constant plumbing problems; -have to call maintenance/ front desk to fix SOMETHING at least once a month; -bad lighting in and out of complexes (very dark in apartments); -"gated" community, but gates are often broken or constantly left open and are not closed; -maintenance seems over-worked (I have only seen 2 of them for the 240 units); -had to add at least one extra phone and cable outlets when we moved in (only one of each in the whole unit and they are located in very hard to understand places); -water bill has steadily increased since we moved in, despite our leasing agent's (who is no longer here b/c of the change in management) claim that the water bill was between $25- 35 monthly (it has been more than $40 every month we have been here); -change of management seems to be very distant to its tenants (they often do not answer the phone and tenants have to go up to the front in order to get anything accomplished- at that time, the office worker acts very "annoyed" that she has to speak with you). Positives: -lots of covered parking; -seems to be in a safe neighborhood in the Catalina Foothills area;- ample space in the walk- in closets; -most of my maintenance requests are completed within 2 days of them writing them down (however, you do have to go up to the front and write one out yourself, b/c they rarely answer the phone or the pagers are supposedly "not working");pretty "villa" type setting and lush, green landscaping, but I do see a lot of cans and trash in parking lot and pool areas; -rarely hear upstairs/ next door neighbors while inside the apartments; management leaves memos on your door to inform you of upcoming work, etc (however, this happens often and you may have to move your patio furniture, or not take a bath between 8am- 5pm, etc.)
